I Desire

I desire to feel the warm soft sand
gush through my toes
as I walk barefoot along the shore.

I desire the bold scent of ocean air
as the cool crisp breeze
sweeps my flowing hair across my face.

I desire the intense energy of the tide
as it forcibly crashes
against the jagged rocks with passion

I desire the eternity of distance
within my eyesight
to give me inner peaceful solitude.

Great poem...reminded me of walking through Coronado Beach right in front of of the Hotel Del Coronado when I was a teenager.  *sigh* someday I'll see it again... --Jamie

"I know I should have told you
But I was so afraid you'd leave
And now there's nothing left to say
Well nothing that you'd believe
I never meant to hurt you
With the things I couldn't say
I promise you tomorrow
While denying you today..."

I agree! This is so beautiful...reminds me of my own poem (White Sands) that I wrote a few days ago. I love beaches too!

This is incredible work, Lost! Keep it up!

Wikket--That wouldn't be the Coronado beach in San Diego County, would it?

"inner peaceful solitude" - something that we all seek.  The beach - a wonderful place to find it! Closing my eyes, your words running through my mind - I could feel the breeze, hear the waves and even taste the salt!

Well you denfinatly took me there, Lovely imagary.

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.
