Could Be Anywhere...

What A Day!

Started off
falling out of bed
waking up in sever pain.
Out of pills
be a month or two
before we can get the script renewed.
Calls before work
creditors working overtime
shut off notices and such, ya know?
Forgot my lunch
no vending type coin
boss yelling about simply nothing at all.
Struggled to get an hour off
it’s off to child support court
ordered to pay twelve thousand dollars.
Scurry back to work
laughing with tears all the way
head, body, soul taking a beating.
Oh Lord, help me keep on
all that’s left is a little prayer
as the time clock ticks it’s toll.
Finally, punch that silly clock
kicked in the knards to discover
my van has disappeared from parking lot.
Walking about, making calls
frantic with the unknown
boss snickers about previous repo’s.
Bum a ride homeward
depending on ice cold beer
finding a instant headache, oh joy!
And so it goes
born loser, day of days
seems like fallen house of cards.
Struggle into traitorous bed
only to be awakened in a couple
our puppy is having puppies!
Wondering as i watch the miracle
if God is gifting a promise
that with Him...all will be ok?

(ps: edit was "finding instant headached added"
just thought y'all might want to know.

Even when we do our best to make ourselves miserable, God keeps on working.  This is a fun poem.  Unless of course it is all true.  Joyce

Oh man...can I ever relate to this!!!
Was laid off for two months, got real behind, hubby got check garnished cuz we couldn't pay. IRS wants 732.00 like yesterday. Rent went up to 700.00. Yeah...we can really afford that!!! Kid is constantly in trouble and now his fines are piling up. Do you think he going to be held responsible? Not on your life!! Had surgery on my head Monday (Lord, a frontal lobotomy would have been more fun). They are checking for cancer now. More medical bills than you can shake a stick at. They shut the gas off on Wednesday. The power and water will be next even though payments have been made it may not be enough to satisfy the power and water gods til next month. But through it all God has been watching and taking care of what is essential. Thanks for the poem...really enjoyed it. And thanks for listening to me rant dear sweet brother. Love and miss you lots.....Sis

How can you save me?
When the dark comes right in and takes me,
from my front walk and into bed,
where it kisses my face and eats my head. Shivaree

When troubles start coming our way they never seem to stop for awhile. Every day you wonder "What next!"  If God wasn't with us, what would we do?

When I saw the title I was going to say...'Quite often'...but upon reading the poem and also Shawna's reply...no, I've never had a bad day. You both will be in my prayers. (((HUGS)))
