April finds the forest floor starred with flowers by the score. Trilliums and violets too. Both the yellow and the blue. Ferns, uncurling from below, lacy fronds begin to show. Where the sunlight filters through, diamonds sparkle in the dew. Sweet aromas from the plants, to my eager senses grants, perfume only April brings, Savored from remembered springs. Ah....i needed that breath of flowery air...and i mean flowery in a good way. My current local smells mostly of pine and mud. One's not half two it's two are halves of one EE Cummings |
