Spring Storm Haiku

Snow covers bare ground
Burying all thoughts of spring
God's April Fool's joke

White over colors
Crocuses will have to wait
For April showers.

ahhh..another spring day in Maine..gotta love it!

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Beautiful Haiku.
Geesh..SNOW? I pity your state! LOL! And I thought the on again off again warm weather we've been having here was annoying. At least it isn't snowing...*Jenn says and looks out the window in suspicion*

Don't ya hate it when that happens? Thank God it's April and that snow will melt quickly! Beautiful Haiku from a lovely lady...Love, Ellie

Pegasus - You are more than welcome to come up here and enjoy it with us.   I know how boring it must be down there in Florida.

Joyce - That is very good! You should post it separately.

Jenn - Hope the suspicions were unfounded.

Ellie - Sure do hate it, especially since it was a surprise!

Melton - I'm looking forward to reading what you come up with.

Thank you all for reading.

This was a fun read. I liked this one a lot. I liked how you said that snow in the spring in God's April fools  joke.......Nicely done Marilyn!

Billy - Can I think on that a bit?   We do have wind here, too.

Javier - Thanks.   Actually, I need to give credit for that line to someone who made that comment to me on the way into church yesterday.

Very nice!  We had snow here today too and I am trying not to complain, as we do need all the moisture we can get.  Our area is abnormally dry this year.

Terrific, Marilyn. That is the scene by the entrance to our porch when I was young. Thanks for the rememory.  More of a Senyru than a true Haiku or a Haiku/Senyru combo - lol. Glad I cam ein to see this. Panne

Betty - We are starting to thaw, mud under the snow.  Makes a really interesting combination.

Lynne - Thanks, especially for the hug.   Actually, you can't see the crocuses, because we've had more than a foot of snow in the last four days. I'd be very happy to share.

Panne - Thanks.  I'm glad it stirred a good memory. Now that you've stopped in, stick around for a bit.
