Hello everyone!!..I'm back. All refreshed and ready to boogie!! Please accept this simple offering. ____________________________________________________ Can lonely hearts return in time, to twice upon that yesterday, when true love danced with vibrant step, and life was but a sweet bouquet. Before ill storms of fate arrived, and ruthless blasts of doubt were born, before the tears of somber nights, the soul invades with rueful scorn. Can damaged mind so rudely tossed, repair the harm of thoughtless pain, to once more bathe in honest light, and renew faithful trust again. Or is the breech impassable, the mountain much too high to climb, the grevious wrong too terrible, for erstwhile lovers to deny. Those yesterdays are trapped in dreams, and tomorrows thoughts are yet to be, today the ghost of joyful past, haunts now my lonely reverie. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost [This message has been edited by pegasus111 (edited 03-21-2001).] |

pegasus111, An outstanding request for forgiveness. More elegant than, "I don't know what I did, or when I did it. It's my fault, I won't do it again, and I'm sorry." Melton |

Pegasus - Nice to see you back. Boogie on! This is a lovely "offering". It grows on me with each re-reading, flows beautifully, and shows great wistfulness. If this is autobiographical, I hope your request is granted. It seems hard to resist. To love another person is to see the face of God. |

So many times a yesterday seems much more dreamlike when today is bleak, empty, and lonely. The flow was great, and very systematic, a metronome of verbal proportion, feelings so elegantly writ! |

A lovely way to ask for forgiveness. I am new here so I have never met you before, but I am sure you and your poetry have been missed. Will look for more. Joyce |

Pegasus, welcome back. And what a nice comeback Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

Sadly i think that hearts do not return in time. Reunite perhaps, and build anew, but if this is from your heart i hope your words are heard. For it is crushing when one stands with arm outstretched. The other needing only to take your hand to bridge the gap and instead they turn away. You portrayed well that moment of unknown with arm outstrethed.
