Coastal

Alone, alone with only myself
sand of beach cool beneath me.
Surf both aggressive, then passive
a sit to ponder, contemplate.

Examine the very nature of life
it seems at time, like the sea.
Both loving and then inflexible
giving life, allowing great destruction.

Like a coin, love and hate relationship
some have so labeled the human condition.
Brilliant thinkers have thought these thoughts
echoes found in the surf, at oceans edge.

Pounding...calm, again and again and again
such is our living, is it not?
Are we creatures of natures rhythm
or simply creatures of nature?

Seeming paradox becomes so clear
at sunset, at rest, at oceans edge.
Perhaps this is the Biblical acceptance,
submission to the will of God?

Profoundly beautiful, submission to His Will is the essence of a life truly lived.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

I like this.

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

This is fabulous, Daniel! There's nothing like contemplation by the ocean, is there? Hey, I've thought thoughts like these...does that make me a 'great thinker?'
