I have lied And I will again I have cried Like a sobbing wind I have hurt And its all in me Wore it on my shirt But no one came to see I was wrong Always seem to be I was strong 'Til you weakened me I have pain Got enough to share Runnin' down like rain That falls everywhere I had dreams Upon a time and star Nothing like it seems How'd I get this far I have all That I didn't want to But I can smile and recall That once I had you |

Great poem... hang onto those good memories.. "I had dreams Upon a time and star Nothing like it seems How'd I get this far" Beautifully put. "Forget regret, or life is yours to miss. No other course, no other way... No day but today" ~Broadway Musical RENT~ *Cassandra Roseen* |

oh, wow! Are we on the same page? or what? This is exactly where i'm at, and didn't you word it perfectly? A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Well written, and full of raw emotions you lay on the line. I too have gone through the same. Not and easy road to walk, but I am so thankful for that new path of hope we can all find. You keep searching, and I pray you'll find true joy! Deb |

DawnEclipse--->Thanks for posting a responce, memories are sometimes the best things to have had. Zinsser--->Thanks for reading, glad you enjoyed! Ellie--->Its good knowing you're not alone! I don't know if its worded perfectly yet...but I'm glad you thought so! BloomingRose--->Thank you for the praise. I wanted to present something more 'real' and I'm glad you appreciated it. I'll keep searching...I don't think any of us have a choice. |

This was completely sad. I liked it though, I thought it was a great poem. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

Hey this is good, I'm sure I heard a song when I read this. Nice The world doesn't stop for you, but you can stop for the world. |

Ah, Bob - feels like a sigh, yet it moves well - it's not totally despairing, because of the style, I think, and that great last stanza... Nicely done! Lary |

I, too, especially liked that last stanza. If you've had love once, it helps you to go on and makes you willing to find it again. Nice one, Bob. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

Dopey--->Thanks for reading and posting again!!! When are you gonna be posting up some poetry? Moon Dust--->I probably felt like singing when I wrote it. Thanks for replying! Laryalee--->Thats what I was aiming for...I don't know if it was so much the style, but I wanted the last stanza to stand out and show the reader that I'm not depressed or upset, I'm happy and not at all regretful. KCS--->So true, being able to feel it even once, even for a moment, is well worth it all. |
