To share a life,
and love another,
I must first love me.

To feel as one..
and at home with another,
I must feel at home
and at peace with me.

Otherwise, I'm only in need,
and neediness is not love.

If I love who I am,
then there is...
"wanting" to love another.

A healthy relationship...
is sharing our lives,
sharing who we are.

A blending of hearts,
a communion of souls,
a partnership made in heaven!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Very Beautiful Poem indeed..
If I may comment to 'songbird', it is impossible for another person to give us our own self worth, based on their love for us, or lack thereof.. since it's from the self that all love is understood, and created.
I have heard that phrase before, and it doesn't fit the equation in my judgement..
I don't mean to critique, just my humble opinion..
