In my imagination, sometimes so vivid and real, I envision us together, walking hand in hand; Along the beach so obscure..our hidden place With towering palms overlooking shifting sand. In my imagination, you take my hand in yours As we venture into the water so blue, Alone in our own private little world, My only desire…just being with you. In my imagination we frolic and play As children with no care for time or place; Each of us knowing the other’s desire, No need for words now..our hearts race. In my imagination he takes me into his arms, The world disappears as we declare our love; His embrace so warm, his kisses so tender, The only onlookers..the moon, the stars above. Morning comes quickly and with it the dawn, I awaken to reality once again, it would seem; But in my imagination we’ll meet yet again, Until the day we’re both free, I will dream. |

I love this poem.....but we must never let our imagination run too far from reality. However it is nice to dream. JB |

JB....I have an extremely vivid imagination, but always manage to keep a hold on reality, also...  I like the tangible..but dreams are a way of escape sometime....thanks for the comment...Marilyn, you are very familiar with my 'imagination'...I like to have fun with it sometimes......right?? We do need our dreams sometimes.... |

this is lovely and so enchanting... dreaming is useful in taking the edge off a reality than isn't very nice! A gift at such times for me. A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Yes, Ellie....I agree with you. You put it very nicely. Sometime reality can be very harsh...and dreaming takes the edge off..thank you |
