I went out walking, one grey stormy day, and I saw you walking too, but the opposite way. So I crossed the street, and I gave you my name your face lit up bright and clear, and I've never been the same. You said that you'd been looking, for the right kind of man, one who likes long rainy walks then you reached for my hand. Well you must be, the greatest one I've seen There's noone else like you and all my heart feels is you,.... right now (x3) The day passed by quickly still rainy and grey we sat in a diner drinking coffee talked the night away. Then the diner was closing and we walked inthe rain I walked you all the way home and though I wanted to stay I turned round and went home I live the opposite way as puddles I splashed with my feet I heard you calling my name The months passed by quickly the seasons and days I asked, and you gave your hand and we planned right away. The old church bells ringing on our wedding day, we walked down a garden path thouh it was stormy and grey I looked in your eyes and brushed your tears away we exchanged vows and rings and then I heard you say ~Which way did They go? How many of Them were there? I MUST find Them!! I AM THEIR LEADER!!~ Author Unknown..well at least to me..:) |

nice piece, Solstice Son....reminds me of the musical, "Singing in the Rain"... the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Nice one, Sol, sweet and romantic. Three contrasting pieces today, but all tied together somehow, makes for some good reading. Thanks. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

I am so totally amazed by your talent as a poet. You never cease to make me wonder where all your inspiration is coming from. So come on, fess up... Where do you get it? This is so sweet and romantic, as all your poems are. And that pic, ooh, boy! Great read, SOL! Alicia |
