Tomorrow's Now

your morning dew
it touches me
arouses senses,
deep for thee
you offer warmth
and sparkling light
to last the day
and into night
where clouds
in dreams
allow in breeze
to float you by
on wings with ease
to capture you
view into eyes
that look you give
when e'er I sigh

before the nighttime
shows it's dark
my eyes
want leaving of their mark
I lift one rose
you've given me,
petals formed
of loving thee
to lips of mine
to gently kiss,
in whispers, soft
of loving bliss
and speak my words
to heart of thine
a memory,
words, held in kind
to tide me then
'til next we meet
when fog rolls in
on quiet feet
and sun brings light
with mist of you
tomorrow's now
becomes the new.

You are a mistress of the sweet and tender.   This is another beautiful offering from you.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Wynter: I love the gentle, romantic flow of this gracious poem.  Wonderful!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

such a gentle, loving piece..you are such a hopeless romantic.. and that's good..

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
