I remember a geeky young lad Now many years ago, Who was quite a clumsy sort-- But he tried real hard, don't you know! Each summer the family went camping At a place called Indian Lake, In Michigan's upper peninsula And in fishing and swimming partake. There was one particular summer This younster just got really brave, And wanted to learn water-skiing It looked like much fun he would have! And maybe just prove to the others He was talented after all, He'd do anything thing to prove it And knew he'd take many a fall! It took many tries to get started But so determined was he, He'd try 'til he finally succeeded Just to prove to himself, he could ski. And finally it came all together At least, a few seconds, his hope, The only thing, that when he went down-- None had told him to "Let go of the Rope!" Can you imagine his humiliation After all of his efforts to ski, He still proved all his clutsy persona I know, 'cause that fellow was me!!! No Better Place do I know Than where Hearts knit as one, For in that grand experience, The Better ALL become. God Bless us All!!! [This message has been edited by deleeme (edited 02-05-2001).] |
