I heard about it on the radio 'Twas a Benefit Concert last night, And since it was close to my Birthday I thought we would go out and try it. For the radio ad had inticed me And encouraged me I should be there, For as a Special Treat, they said That Elvis there would appear! That seemed to me quite different And so it was you see, The Elvis that was there last night Was only vaugly what I 'membered him to be> Oh sure, he has his Elvis attire Sunglasses, red scarf and a ring, And if I closed my eyes and listened Much like Elvis, this guy could sing. But he was an old and pudgy version With his hip action all but gone, But he made some bold Elvis knee bends And sang quite a few of his songs. I'd say it was quite entertaining But my opinion shouldn't go to his head For to me, it was the best proof ever- That alas, the poor "King" IS dead! |

david; Thank goodness! sorry....never liked him...but this is a great poem and very funny...sounds like less than an enjoyable evening! Love, Sis A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

having had to suffer through N'Sync and Brittany Spears last night during the superbowl......I'd almost prefer a simulated Elvis *LOL* Sol |

yes he is but, like all great artists, his special talent lives on in the hearts of those who appreciated his talent and his charisma. well done. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
