The edges of morning are Fringed in deep clouds of blue As the sun illuminates The horizon putting a glow On the face of the sky With each passing moment The sun casts her rays Painting the sky Water color pastels The magic that sunlight Performs Awakens gently The slumbering world Trees silhouette The sun lite sky Building and house windows Become beacons of morning Flickering their lights This scene's A special occasion for me Impressed By the beauty of morning I realize work's reward Is more than money The glory and beauty of morning Is a bonus For the early riser I wonder If those who rise at dawn Out of necessity everyday Ever become blinded To the masterpiece That morning affords |
