Our friends were coming over, In an hour maybe two we had finished all the housework only one thing left to do. My darling hates to grocery shop But I will shop with joy Amidst the aisles and consumers The cashiers and bagger boys Now as I find the Dairy section My confidence exceeds For I do shop with gusto For all our household needs Not one but two whole gallons Do I grab with just one hand And stuffing list between mine lips Think that I am quite the Man Ahh but now my pride doth trip me As sailing to the floor Goes one of those two gallons That I had grabbed before The spray of whole milk showers round And speckles one and all A lovely puddle on the floor And I careful not to fall I find a good stocker lad And beg of him a mop I position my self cleverly Yet still others do not stop Now clever little trails of milk Run this way cross the floor And I wonder what is taking so long For the stocker lad I saw before But now I've read the Adventure of Wordancer at the store For though not crying over spilled milk They need the mop there more (( I have not a clue where Wordancer shops...but I can imagine both our pictures up at the door...warning everyone ahead of time *LOL* )) Sol |

My goodness, at least it was only milk and you kept your sense of humor. Cute poem you made of your experience. |
