Little bird what happened to you? Your wing is broken, you cannot fly. I watched you fall from the tree. That tree you called havens home. That tree that did not keep you safe. It's broken branch that caused you pain. This sickened tree is not safe for you. So come, little bird, your wing I'll mend, that you might fly free at last. We'll find a tree that's well and sound, where you'll be safe and feel secure. You'll build your nest and know the peace, a peace and safety not known before. A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Ellie, this is a lovely poem, but I have a feeling there's more than one layer here. Might you be the little bird, rescued from a dangerous world by a loving Father? To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |
