Reason or Rhyme

Who knows why things happen,

Is there a reason or rhyme?

Or is it all told

In the stories of time?

We see the small picture,

Only small frames,

When the picture develops,

We see the past fade.

Like the whistling of winds,

From the past seasons day,

Bring forth the light

To yet a new page.

Time marches forward,

A journey each day,

The sun waits for none,

But moves on its' way.

To the hollow,

Of yesterdays past

Forget what you followed

The future's what’s last.

Prepare for tomorrow,

New options to see,

Gain new perspectives,

Opportunities flee.

Like the birds,

Taking flight,

Startled off,

By movement or sight.

Be wise,

To take your stand

Follow your heart,

Your desires are grand.

Share your swift moments,

With someone dear,

Your happiness doubled,

Will ease your fear.

With the love

Flowing bold,

Do not fear

To aggressively hold.

The one who's heart

Combines with you

The one whom

Shares a love so true.

i confess that i dislike to read these sorts of poems for i find them to be preaching but i am going to make an exception for this one...
