Sleep baby sleep hush, don't you weep close your eyes in gentle slumber sleep baby sleep A tiny little one to gently rock to sleep prescious kisses on his forehead his dreams to sweetly keep Sometimes when I'm troubled I sing the quiet song and then the many hassles drag on not so long Though in truth I'd like a giant to rock me in her arms sweetly sealing up my good dreams with her gentle smooching charms Sleep baby sleep hush, don't you weep close your eyes in gentle slumber sleep baby sleep [This message has been edited by Solstice Son (edited 01-04-2001).] |

I think you touched a wish I didn't know I had. My version is to threaten to huddle under my desk is a fetal position. Yours is much better! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

do I detect a hint of regression here? ..nice read, Sol.. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Sol.... I think everyone deep down would love to regress back to a time when they could be rocked that way once again.....you expressed this so well. Best |

SOL..i hope youre feeling better sooner than later yes..i've had this same wish..wrote a poem about it too (maybe i can find it..) i think at some time or another..we all wish for the security that a mother rocking her babe offers... it would be nice..wouldnt it.. *sigh*.. alas..we are grown ups..and may not be cradled again as such, until we die......then the big man will rock us all the way home oops..sorry..i got a little carried away..! anyway..this is a really nice poem youve got here.. hugs, g "sometimes a closed door provides us with walls to lean on....." -kathleen vibbert |

Great poem as usual. I loved it. Hope to read much more. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |
