I'm not looking for a white knight, To sweep me off my feet. Just one who would be faithful, And not one who would cheat. I'm not looking for a perfect bod, Maybe, two arms to hold me tight. I'm not asking for perfection, Just hold me through the night. I'm not looking for a genius, To bore me all day long, And I really don't want anyone, Who NEVER thinks their wrong. What I'm looking for is simple, It's really not that much, Just someone to share their love, And a simple, loving touch. He should listen quietly, When I'm a friend in need. And when I need to grow, He should be the seed. When my heart is hurting, He should hold my hand. And when I feel romantic, A long walk in the sand. And what, you say, will be His reward for such a quest? Then I would do the same for him, And with true love we'd be blessed. |

Hey girl beautiful poem white knights come in all shapes and sizes even disguises. I have found mine after much denial right under my nose. So as for me and my beliefs they are out there they just don't all have armor and horses. beautiful poem I hope your knight finds you soon Jane |

The things you said in your poem describe a love that is real. And though not exempt from problems, a love that is stronger than all of that. The Knight in shining armour right off of the cover of "GQ" married to a supermodel actress is a mythical Hollywood rendition of what love is. I have a wife that I know God gave to me and our love is real. Though sometimes it's hard to wait for his timing. thanks for the poem. Liked it alot, Stephen. |

OH! Bravo, BRAVO!!! How perfect, how true! I have been trying to explain this exact same thing to my husband (unfortunately soon to be my ex) all this while, adn he doesnt get it... Wonderful, heartfelt, nice style.. I LOVED this! I could not have said it better myself. |
