The Frost

The Frost will soon
Rest on the ground
Fleeting snow
The only sound.

Sheets of white
For all to see
Popcorn strings
Upon the trees.

See the bustle
In the air
Christmas magic
Rests everywhere

Watch the shoppers
Hurry by
Arms of presents
Love in their eye.

With the frost
Cold and Meek
Let us dream
In peaceful sleep.

Of the past
And things to come.
Reflect the years
Highlights of fun.

See the lights,
Everywhere.
The frost has brought
The souls' fair.

A prayer to all
A merry New Year.
I wish all
Happiness and Cheer.

I enjoyed this.  It made me smile, and the frost has not been doing that for me much lately.     Thanks for the nice holiday spirit.

Kevin...

What lovely images this brings to mind....
And if Dark Angel needs some snow for a White Christmas....We have some to spare...about 28 inches in the last week.

Best

First of all...Merry X-mas to you all. Second, this is a great poem, showing X-mas what it is for, a bit of happiness and celebration.
