Hidden deep within Beneath the facade of an ordinary woman Rises a dark desire.... Desire one could not relinquish.. Not in a form where those dear to her Would understand.. But in a form one would never recognize Within the struggle to suppress such urges She fights the darkness Writhing away from the burden Of such unnatural desires That takes her willingly into the night Yet feeling overwhelmed By the sensuality The unknown striking fear In her heart Only to add to the mystique that surrounds it Feeling the rapture of forces Darker than any she had imagined as she casually slips into the night Submitting to the dark desires She so willingly craves Yearning to be apart of the passion That secretes from the soulless faces Haunting her wildest dreams Only to awake to being That ordinary woman |

Hi Ara, this gave me a haunting feeling, I like it very much Welcome to Passions! Tried to send you a special greeting, but your email was invalid. this has a Walter Mitty flavor that I love...welcome to Passions..looking forward to more. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Welcome, Ara. This is well written, but have to admit the duality made me squirm a bit, which probably means you struck home. Good job! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

Ara this was a very good poem, and oh so haunting, but true! I liked it . |
