Sometimes when I watch you play Having so much fun I realize that you do not notice That you are often the only one All the kids you play with Are with their mom and dad Many with brothers and sisters Two things you do not have Your daddy, he loves you But he can’t be here This isn’t his weekend To be with you, my dear So we go alone… Christmas parties and such We laugh and have fun But the pain is too much They have little stickers For all the kids names But they never know Our last names aren’t the same Some people, they stare I’m used to that part They think we are alone But I know in my heart… You have a wonderful daddy You are the center of his life We love you together Even though I’m not his wife You have a Nanny and Pop-Pop Aunts and Uncles galore Tons of cousins to play with What kid could want more? So if you see the people stare Remember that you are the best Because there is an entire village of people Who love you and know you are blessed!
