somethin related to my insomnia which has bugged me for 3 yrs....

love, michelle

-------------------------------

spirals and spirals
spheres of darkness
sweeping my mind round
feelin i could drown

i'm trying
i'm crying
prying away at my mind
i'm sick
i'm desperate
i badly need some sleep!

groping and groping
down the rope to hazy
but what's that tugging
argh i'm chugging back to reality

dearie oh dearie me
can't u juz fall asleep
all these daily routines
its a wonder i'm still alive
survived from every fatigue

i juz hate this
every nite battling
its juz too baffling
i think i'm blabbering

round and round
spirals in my mind
no day no night
try as i might
i juz can't fight

don need to feel sorry for me
this juz has to be my plight
it might juz decide one day
to take flight away from my side

tata for now
i guess i'm bushed
let the thoughts come to me
i'm surrendering see
slowly by slowly i guess
i'll climb down the well of sleep

tomorrow i shall wake up
wif panda eyes so big
but a dab of concealer will hide
all traces of my fight at night

---------------------------------------

I could almost feel your struggle in this poem. Great job, althought, being a foreigner, I had a rather hard time reading your poem. (with all the "juz, wif, i and don) I suppose it's high time for "the new American language dictionary". ; )

Ugh, I can feel the pains of sleep deprivation in your words!  This poem has awesome style thats in no short supply!  I hope the insomnia gives you a break every now and then.  Thanks for the read.

so...I'm not the only one with the problem...in my case it's age..and in yours......?

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Ohh... I've been there, am there now actually.  Switching from a night to a day schedule is difficult.  This was well written.

This is really very good. I too hate those nights of insomnia.

ahhhh yep me too, some days I get no sleep at all, but I love the way you conjured it up in poem

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.
