Bathing In Moonlight (Villanelle from the Workshop)

Full moon, your magic light shines down on me
Your silver spell a cherished memory
Illuminating beams; sweet mystery

You bring my spirit utter ecstasy
Delightful light of perfect harmony
Full moon, your magic light shines down on me

You calm my storms till I feel heavenly
Your touch is like a lover's hand on me
Illuminating beams; sweet mystery

Seductive flirt with my reality
You chain my heart; bequeathing liberty
Full moon, your magic light shines down on me

Alluring dreams into conspiracy
Of moon lit images illusory
Illuminating beams; sweet mystery

A silver frail note flutters playfully
Enchanting melody; night's symphony
Full moon, your magic light shines down on me
Illuminating beams; sweet mystery

hey Munda

i haven't been to the workshop for ages!  i don't know about the moon, but Nan has sure worked some magic on you, no?

I know how hard these things are to do, and here, my friend, you have done some really excellent work.  Two great "anchor" lines, and also you maintain the iambic pentameter flawlessly throughout the whole piece which in itself isn't easy to do.  I loved the way you explore the different effects the moon has on the speaker - a very well thought out and executed villanelle Munda...

well done indeed

Very well done indeed, Munda.  Hard to keep up that rhyme scheme and keep on finding new ways to talk about the moon.  Good work!

Munda~
Just a lovely execution of the Villanelle.
The moon would seem to be an excellent subject for this form.
You've made it look easy - and I know it's not.
Very nicely done.

Munda,
This piece flows so freely, surreal images as light as a moonbeams enchanting the darkness, charming the the spirit!

Pleasent images of the moon and a nice flow
