SEASONS OF MY LIFE SPRING My introduction to the world and all it's wonder, All things mine, to try, to use, and tear asunder. For I am young, the world was made for me and mine, So I must hurry and get my due, while there is still time. SUMMER My time to work and strive, reach that goal so high, Hurry now,careful not to tarry,for time is swiftly passing by. My children, they are growing so, how did they get so big, so fast, I thought I'd have them longer, I'll soon be in their past. FALL Now it is time to rest awhile, take stock, look around, Enjoy these many blessings that now abound. Like these grand children, they bless me beyond belief, They must be Gods gift, for surviving lifes grief. WINTER Where did my time go? Life should last like a jewel, Like a jewel it was hard, yet soft, with a luster, and deep as a well. But the snows of winter will surely fall, and as I watch them swiftly come, I can ask no more from those left behind,than, Well done Dad, Well done. |
