LONELY DECEMBER Standing there with the wind blowing through my hair- Singing me gentle lullabyes, as if you were still standing there. So may lifes, so many pasts- are everywhere, all around. Yet I'm standing here so lonely... alone upon this ground. I think of you with all the love in my heart that I could possibly give. I keep thinking how much I miss you, yet how lucky I was to live. I know you're out there somewhere checking up on me- I hope I make you proud and you're liking what you see. I remember that cold December day you left me all alone... Really I am not mad anymore just out of contentedness I was thrown. Standing there before you.. wanting just to fall to my knees and cry. Wondering how things could be different at the same time wondering why? But with a smile I decorated your space, knowing I must be brave - Then just as I finished a tear of love .....spilled from my eye to your grave. Sheilan |

~shielan once again you touched my heart. this one REALLY spoke to me! I lost my Mom five years ago due to a massive heart attack. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her desperately. But I take comfort in knowing she is with God in the majestic kingdom of heaven. I also know that she is watching over me, just as this special person you wrote about is watching you. Please never give up and keep the faith. It does get better, I promise. Take care, Amy ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

Sheilan, Your words are very moving, and the love is so evident, and yet you are finding the courage in acceptance to go on, and forge your way and own life to it's completion too and ultimate end---BRAVO, David |

I think I'd use 'beautiful' too much in this reply if I didn't restrain myself...dragons get so emotional sometimes! This is one to bring a tear to almost whoever reads it. Beautiful poem... I've never really lost someone so very close to me...I consider myself very lucky never to have experienced that. But then again, I'm only 14...so I guess it's time to start praying. Thanks for the moving read! Little Spyro T. Dragon |

Like Amy, this one touched me in a very personal way as I have lost two brothers. When I read your work I truly do feel what you write. |

This was a really sad but wonderful poem. I love the lines: "out of contentedness I was thrown" and "With a smile I decorated your space" Very beautifully expressed poem! "The world is never the same once a good poem has been added to it." -Dylan Thomas |

Everyone...Thank you so much for all the encouragement and empathy...it saddens me that so many people can relate to what I write sometimes, but someone very special to me used to say that if you could help people face and feel their pain, you too could help them heal......Sheilan |
