She’s drunk again
He can’t cry
For fear of showing
Invisible emotions

Instead,  he smiles
He goes on
In his normal,
Happy routine

Yet, he isn’t able
To look me in the eyes
He fears I might see
Invisible emotions

I KNOW she hurts him
I’ve tired to tell him
He doesn’t listen
Preoccupied with hiding life

He is lost
And I don’t know
How to recover
Invisible emotions

Alicia,

This is very powerful! Those invisible emotions can be just as visable as the outward emotions to the ones we love and whom love us.
