when it fails to beat in time....
To the pulse of lover's wanton dreams
where doubts eclipse the mind.

To rise above your carnal fright
that burns from fires below....
Takes more than courage from the heart
or wisdom from the soul.

So be not tethered on distant wing
held loft by archaic prose....
My love grows nigh like winter's breath
betrayed by withered rose.
