In the frozen crystals
of the mystic midnight
hour,
when from the leaden
winter sky,
falls first lacy flakes
so fine,
and tis first snow fall
of the season....

In all the world
there is a stillness,
a magic, mystic hush.
If you perchance
should be awake,
and listen closely
to the sound
of first snows silence,
and only if
in Fairies you believe,
there you'll see,
upon the snow,
the sparkle of each flake.

On this enchanted night
the Fairy Snow Queen
doth appear.
Her Winter Solstace
Majesty.
The hush you hear
are all the Fairies
breathlessly awaiting.
For on this night
of first snows fall,
the Fairy Snow Queen
she doth crown
those fairies who have
turned the hearts
of saddened lonely ones,
to feel of magic
and know enchantment
once more in their souls.

As they are crowned
with magic jewels,
their joy is such,
that fairy dust
covers o'er the snow.
So when you see
the shimmer of
mystic moonglow
as it glistens
thus upon the snow,
know that somewhere
a Fairy dances,
a crown upon her head,
for she thus gave
new wonder,
and magic mystic joy,
to a heart that had
grown cold.

Listening to every heart

Isn't it simply amazing that such a crystalline scene of ice and snow can warm a heart to turn from cold?

Well done little one...

Life has got to chnage,

Soon it will be time,

So THAT's why it snows! Now that I'm living in a state with no snow, I miss the magic of seeing it fall the first time in winter.
Thank-you for sharing your beautiful scene, it reminds me of how lovely it really is!

Ellie,

I think I will go to the window now and see if I can catch a peek at the fairies...because I, too, believe.
Beautiful.
