Engaged

Yesterday, emptiness flowed from tears.
Years of sharing, released from memory.
Those midnight walks,
with Wynter flakes kissing us
as we melted their cold.

Fingers laced, warmly
connecting us to happiness now,
as you engage me
in the steps to living.

Today, unmasked, your touch thrills.
Your eyes belie the hidden sorrow
of your past.
Your lips sway me, hypnotically
and I am unable to resist
the nakedthoughts, that rise and fall
as desire overcomes,
swells the need to reach out.

As the moon shows in full,
the shades come down.
Standing behind, you shadow me,
easing the tension.
I turn and capture your waiting lips,
with my want.

Tonight, I am unmasked in you,
unwavering, surrounded by elegance,
glittered in gold, as I drift off
into my world of you.

And tomorrow, when the sun rises
I shall remain ever engaged
in the glow of your hold.
