The fury of the winds
of deep Autumn,
howling,
a mournful dirge,
as brown deadened
leaves
dance the macabre
dance of death.
They twirl higher
and higher
into the chilled
autumn winds,
like furies
on their way to
hell,
only to wither
and decay,
into the pregnant
earth,
enriching her womb
for the birth
of spring.

Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Oooooh, Ellie!  I like this one! It's quite different, but what a nice way to show the cycle of life and death!

love this one

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.

Ellie~
Just the loveliest of thoughts ...

And then *Tee-Hee*
My yard has enough womb enrichment
that the Spring may need birth-control !

Sorry ... but it's true~
and I'll just leaf it at that !

Wow Ellie, does this mean that my flowers will multiply and flourish next spring??? How beautifully you have written something so dreary and turned it into hope for what is yet to come.  Bonnie
