Thou hast wept bitter tears in dark places,
even unto thou, vile demons have torn thy flesh,
tortured thee with the uncertainty of thy worth,
evil thought doth crawl in the slime of despair,
drawing thou deeper into the pain of thyself,
thy noiseless screams into the blackness,
unheard, unheeded, by the enemy of truth,
lies of faceless antagonists deny thee hope,

turn thy face upward, away from thy fear,
seek sanctuary in a power beyond thy scope,
for even from this blackest of all pits,
foul with the stench of deceived hearts,
suffocating with the mass of agonized humanity,
thy spirit shall rise again out of the darkness,
into the saving light to be reborn again,
for thy spirit is immortal unto eternity

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

This starts out so dark then with the quick of a blink, goes into the light,

quote:
for thy spirit is immortal unto eternity

and leaves one with unmeasurable hope...

well done!

Pegasus,
You have described the dispair and anguish of a tormented soul, but have also pointed to where our hope and release from such misery comes from. Wonderful contrast!

Pegasus: You have captured the anquished soul in the depths of despair and, as we all know, it is only from our worst bottom, that we all finally give up the battle and reach for God, Who has been lovinglt waiting, to draw us into His marvelous Light of Love. This is exquisite!!!!!!!!!!  Ellie

True....our souls are immortal, its the flesh thats mortal. Our souls live forever as long as the memory of us lives on in those that love us.
