...for all of Squatch's devoted fans...

" Hey Sol!! Lookit what I bought!"
I winced and looked his way
seems squatch was watching "Martha"
and went to Kmart right away

Seven bags of crepe paper
four dozen tubes of glue
twenty tubes of bright blue glitter
all on my Visa too...

'Just what do you intend to make?'
I asked with half a grin
" PLace settings for the Holidays! "
with happiness he brimmed

He spread the goods out on the floor
(( he never sits in chairs ))
Squatch started making rosebuds
combining them in pairs

I sat transfixed as his fingers worked
like a craft-decor machine
like a giant Martha windmill
grinding out settings to be seen

" here's one for Bunny, one for Sol
and one for Queenie too
Here's one for the Tooth Fairy"
he sang out as he glued

" Should I make one for Jack??"
" He's been round with morning frost."
'Why not, he's always good for talk,
let's hope ,this time, he won't get lost'

Squatch puttered and he crafted
just like Martha would
so proud he spoke " How nice is that??"
I laughed and said 'It's good!'

At last my mythic friend was done
with place settings all about
and then with sadness in his eyes
he began a bigfoot pout

'What is it Squatch? Something wrong?'
his big eyes sad to see
" I forgot to make one, for myself"
'awww...Squatch..you can sit by me.'

How often we forget to take care of ourselves as we take care of others... especially during the holidays.  I think you should send this one to Martha.  If there's any humor in that woman, perhaps this will bring is to the surface.  Peace!

Awwww poor Squatch, funny tho

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.

Sol Son,
Perhaps the pub could start a Squatch, decor relief fund to get enough materials for a Squatch sized place mat! Some one make up a sign! Another good one, Martha should be sooooo proud!

This was a very cute poem.
Things that make you go "Awwwwwww"...
Hehe Another wonderful tale!

good one, Sol..you need to do a book about Squatch(if you haven't already)..this was delightful.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
