Rainy Tuesday Rainy Tuesday morning slumber Overcomes the spirit’s will Warmth of blankets keeps me under Spells of tapping on my sill Puttering raindrops softly wrapping Lazy rhythms on the pane Soothes the ear while I’m still napping To the music of the rain Would that I could stay forever In this cozy dreamy bliss Cradled in a gentle feather Taking in the moment’s wisp Lazy moods are wrought by weather Rainy Tuesday days like this Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 11-15-2000).] |

Oh Elizabeth, the sun is out, but now I'm ready for a nap, this is so soothing... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Lizzie~ That gentle rain has reached my head, begging me - go back to bed ! Now it also pitter-patters on my sill in lots of splatters ! You just make me want to go home and snuggle, quilted through the rest of the day. May the rain be as gentle as your lovely thoughts. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

I was wishing that I could have stayed in my warm cozy bed today too, Elizabeth. It would have been the perfect day to stay under the comforter. Lovely poem! Denise |

I love rainy days. It gives a great mood to muse over a lot of things. Anyway, the poem was great! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
