My first year of verse,
Neither chore nor a curse,
My heart finds delight,
In verse I now write!

I have written of war,
Of love and of lore.
The many styles that I use,
Do express my own views!

I have stretched and have grown,
Poetic seeds have I sown.
The harvest is grand,
As a Poet I now stand!

But my greatest reward,
Will not be ignored.
It's my dear Passion friends,
I'll cherish till Earth ends.

Thanks to all my friends at Passions for your kind, encouraging words during my first year of writing poetry. May God bless you everyone!  Dennis :^)

Well Dennis you have been an encouraging inspiration around here.

Is it only a year you've been writing?

Your skill with verse must be a natural talent.

I for one am glad you discovered it....here's to many years more......drinks all 'round.........oops ( I think that may be an expensive offer).

Watch the PUB fill up now!!!

Cheers Dennis!!!!

I remember one of the first poems that you posted here...saying that you were not a poet...I'm glad you now see yourself for what you are...and a very good one you are!

God gives His gift of poetry
to His chldren now and then.
Some come to know it early,
some much later on.
You my dear, dear friend,
have blossomed like
a rose that blooms in
proses spring.
As the rose doth touch our hearts,
His beauty and His gift,
You have brought your words
to us,
Your poems to touch
our hearts.
And so we are the richer
at this passions garden
of verse,
because you shared
your gift with us,
that's blossomed like His rose!

I am the richer because you are my friend, and I too have grown in my writing because of your encouragement and love. Thank you dear brother of mine. Love, Ellie

Dennis,

Only a year, you've been writing. Wow! I truly bow down to you and all of the others here at the Pub. If only I could just get my works to come out 1/8 as good as all of yours, then I'd be happy.
