Sleep lies heavy
within your eyes
you make no sounds
emit no cires
but - we hear you.

You cannot voice
what you wish to say
you cannot communicate
in any way
but - we hear you.

We know that you're lonely
in the place where you rest
we understand that this
is a difficult test
and - we hear you.

There is such a struggle
within your body
trying to make your thoughts
be known
rest assured -
in a way - we hear you.

Please be strong brother
we are here with you
don't give up dear one
please fight this through.

Although we're not always
physically near
we think of you always
and pray that you hear.

No matter what anyone
else may believe
we're listening -
and -
in a way -
we hear you.

My brother, who lay in a coma for two years before losing the fight. I will never forget you.

I agree with Sharon, this is a great tribute...reminds me a lot of my first post here having to do with a coma, only my subject came out of it...
