There is a time, we all must cry, and climb the Bridge of Sorrows. for love lost, hope destroyed, and never to be tomorrows. The steps are hard and cold, and the railing worn by years, of white knuckle grips, fears of slips, and storms of saltwater tears. Some stay long upon the arch, and gaze down at the waters, Their still reflection, rippled pain, like a long neglected daughter's. Then comes one, who knows the stones, that made the path on which you tarry, smiling up from the other side, at the stones he once did carry. A simple smile, and empty arms, are all he has to give, for love, and hope, and dreams will die, but YOU , he knows, must live. He cannot climb to meet you , for its not his time for pain, but he'll wait upon the steps, through sun, and wind, and rain. Until the day you cry no more. when you've grown numb from pain, when you wander down the steps, not knowing now your name. "Beloved!" he will call you. " Its good to see you here!" then with his arms, filled up by you, he'll help you with the fear. He'll teach you once again to love, to hope for autumn rains to stay up late at night and dream, and help youlive TODAY. The bridge will always be there, now with a new edged stone, but you know its just a passing place, never one that you'll call home. this is for my friend...and all the others that need something like it too.... Man don't know what to say except WOW. this one really took my breath away and made me think really hard about life. If you have this much in you someone out there is going to be really lucky to be by your side. great presentation and hope things like this remind us all how well we all need that little extra touch from someone elses' heart. good job P. I wrote this after listening to my friend, Beloved, on ICQ...she told me about how her friend died...how he had given up on her, on love, on life...it was quite some time ago...as we talked, the memories overwhelmed her, with hurt, false guilt, and grief...I wrote it for her...but it applies to eveerybody...and yes, if you need a friend i am there Thank you though..for all the complimentary words and thoughts..helps me know it is working for her too...
