He has lived many lives
each unique in it’s fashion
he has been many people
left indelible marks
on a multitude of
strangers and loved ones alike
all have been changed
by his presence
for good or ill
he has been recognized
and ignored
been a friend and an enemy
a soldier and a pacifist
a teacher and a student
he has learned much
and forgotten more
witnessed the truth
and borne false witness
experienced the miracles of GOD
and succumbed to Satan’s wiles
a father, son, lover, husband,
he is brilliant at times
and foolish more often
he has died and
been reborn many times
has suffered pain
and been elevated in triumph
revered the beauty of nature
and defiled it’s laws
does some things well
and most others badly
he is strong yet vulnerable
noble yet weak
he is all
he is nothing
he is a poet

Beautifully done, Pegasus, and so true, we are all these things, but a poets heart beats true.  Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Pegasus~

'he is all
he is nothing
he is a poet'

And that, my friend -
makes him EVERYTHING ...

And sometimes even a poetess !
Glad to know you, poet !
