On The Beach In answer to moon’s call, waves break upon the shore; white salt spray scattered, coming to rest on gray sands. Pressed together on blanket, nibbling you with warm lips and soft tongue - lying in shadows of ancient rocks; the fires smoldering within, hotter than the driftwood burning at our feet. Your eyes sparkle brightly, alive - with innumerable pinpoints of reflected blue starlight; creamy skin glowing like the moon high above. Taking you in my arms, I roll over on top of you, covering you protectively as the evening air grows cold; we burrow into the blanket as sweat mingles with ocean mist. Sea winds whisper above us like lovers in secret tryst; hushed murmurs of declaration pass between us, to be inscribed in our hearts, then carried out to sea by the tide. 10/13/00 |

Jonas; Like the romantic poets of old,you write of love by the sea with the ageless beauty of hearts that never lose the wonder of loves glory. Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |
