Six months have now gone by
Since that night you died
I still haven't cried
Can't seem to say goodbye

Tears of pain fall free
Into a soul full of misery
I can't believe you left me
The reasons I just don't see

March 21rst you started your car
Left us behind, but didn't get far
Floated away to become your own star
I can't accept the way things are

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

So sad a tragedy, I can only imagine your pain and yet you put it to verse in an eloquent way. Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

I am so sorry that you lost your friend.  I can empathize. Its like you know you want to cry..you might even try to make yourself, but you can't because it is so shocking..like a dream.  this is a great expression of your emotions......beth
