My apologies for the title....this one was from the same rainy friday as a lot of the others... .................................................... I see why you write poetry... Why its second nature now... It makes your life a grade A steak... Instead of ground up cow. It makes your mind a shining sword... To stab away the pain... A three ply shelter for your heart... To hide from tears of acid rain. It nails the wrongs of yesterday... And leaves them hanging there... It adds a lightness to your steps... When you're bent by loads of care. It makes your life a grade A steak... Instead of ground up cow... So help me, Angel, teach me, please... I need to write some now. |

SolticeSon~ Well ... I'd agree, the title didn't add much ... and almost kept me from opening it ... but this line was worth the read - 'It nails the wrongs of yesterday... Hm...not sure...hard to say hon....I think I was just writing...tell the truth about 8 or 9 poems came out in an hour one friday afternoon...but seeing how the poem is about poetry...and the other " angels " i know are not so gifted....methinks at this point it would have to be you...I like including the people and places I know and love in my stuff weather it be stories , pictures, or songs...most everything in here has ties to someone I give a hoot for...and since I have read more than a few of your poems...seems like someone givin a hoot would be a good thing for a change * hugs * and thanks to everybody in this place..for all the great stuff..
