two thirty in the morning
and I can feel the train
the SOO LINE runs outside my house
right through the window pane

I count the cars and engines
graffiti plain to see
the rumbling roar surrounds me
and in it I feel free

The power of the iron horse
would more appeal to me
if i knew that at the other end
she was waiting there for me

she's not. and i'm alone again
i count the last car of the train
staring out the wndow, all empty.
'cept for rain.
