I am the emotional contortionist,
Bending over backwards to please you.
It's easy to do when you've got no backbone.
I'll do everything in my power
To make you happy.
But I have no power of my own,
Only that which I borrow from others.
I'll deliver the deathblow to your doubts,
Putting to end the debate of life and death.
I'll hold you up as you face the music,
Support you through the turmoil.
In the end, nothing really existed
Except my yoga-inspired will bending.

Sounds like a mighty uncomfortable place. Well written!

GoFor~
You sure put the twist on this one.
Very cleverly written.

Very nice metaphor.  I like the image of yoga-inspired contortions to support someone else emotionally.  Nice work.
