Amidst a roiling sea of endless thorn, a flower speaks with voice of fragrant morn. I pause for melody so sweetly wished, gentle haunting strains wafting through the mist. Cautious, lest the song lure me as a muse, into petals warm, lovely in their hues. Might guilful tendrils lurk in darkness raw, to snatch at me with clutch of ripping jaw. Thus dragged and agonized to lasting pain, but wait, the beauty calls to me again. The blossom speaks with undulate caress, it's whispered need loud thunder in my breast. The slender stem so fragile in it's stance, shudders need to share hot love's heady trance. I thurst, Oh God, I thurst for crimson bloom, could I but gather you in sea of doom. This wretched bog near fatal to the heart, dare I shed these chains, timidly to start. To move to you my precious bud, to kiss, savoring thoughts of love and promised bliss. Could I but reach you, in this pit I strain, I fall, I fall, no footing can I gain! Hold me, my bloom, don't leave me in despair, alas, too late, you are no longer there. In misery I listen tensly cold, with ragged breath, for promises not old. That I might find you near me tenderly, with love, but you have shed yourself of me. My life, my truth, my purpose ever gone, and I return eternally to thorn. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Pegasus~ My goodness, this is lovely ... 'Amidst a roiling sea of endless thorn, a flower speaks with voice of fragrant morn. I pause for melody so sweetly wished, gentle haunting strains wafting through the mist. Cautious, lest the song lure me as a muse, into petals warm, lovely in their hues.' I couldn't reach your web page ... check your URL ... I do see that you removed the http:/ which belongs at the start of the address, but I tried it several ways and still couldn't get to it. You live in Ocala ? My goodness ... we're practically neighbors ! Welcome to the neighborhood ! ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

my job takes me through the woods and landscaping of nearly every house and building in the county...but I will never look at thorns quite the same...nor will roses be just pretty flowers to be sure...nicely done.. Sol |

The flower will bloom again...Springtime will draw near and the sun will help warm the life back into you. With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry. |
