MY LIFE In the life of my soul I tripped through fields, bright yellow daffodils, roses I’ve seen with petals unfolding as loving desire, my dreams set on clouds way up in the sky. In the life of my mind I grew like the trees, through heaven’s blue, stars beckoning me, with roots as my memories deep in the past, my tears fallen dew on branches of bark. In the life of my heart I thrashed in the wind, storms tempest of lust, passion’s deep wish, with soft gentle breeze as tender lips kiss my longing trapped in cyclones’ fierce twist. In the life of my world, dead captured as sleep, summer’s lush fruit as potential not reaped, with thunder and lightening the burning resolve my days to be changing like rolling sea waves. My life of the future, seeds planted unknown, steps sinking, sliding, nature’s deep snow, with warm, shining rays, God’s leading light, my hands holding on, my grip ever tight. HMH |

Your words tell me of a person searching for and not finding some unspoken goal, you blend your thoughts so beautiful, but you have your path marked clearly, as your last verse tells us, I enjoyed this very much, it is a poem to be read over and over in order to fully understand, (just one opinion) I loved this. |

Hi, Marcy. Thank you for your kind comments. Wish me luck as I slip and slide towards the ending. Pegasus...Thanks for reading - glad you enjoyed. Hello Maria, Thank you. Yes, comforting if the grip doesn't loosen. Thank you, Denise, for reading and commenting. William, Thank you for your insightful comments. It's always a pleasure when someone "reads between the lines" as it were. Mapping the path is one thing...walking it is another. Hmm. Is that a thought for another poem?? |
