I sit at the edge of the sea's thundering waves. Endless profusion of rolling, foamy tendrils, crashing, one upon the other. Seafoam white and misty green- Each wave forming high, then white waters edging each swell, as the wave increases in intensity, only to end as a gentle trickle at my feet. I am overcome at this magnificent wonder, that God has made. The vastness of the sea. My spirit is touched, and I am deeply moved, as I realize the fullness, of the blessings and the love, that fills my life, and the profound gratitude I feel, as I realize that my cup runneth over as vast as the sea. Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Ellie~ This is simply alive with imagery of beauty. I felt the gentle swelling of the sea rise up within the pictures in my mind. Very, very awesome. Nice job, poetess. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Oh Ellie, Great Job!! Write more like this! ...you've penned some awesome thoughts and scenes...the enormous wave with force and power, "only to end as a gentle trickle at my feet." Profoundly beautiful as you fill my cup with your poetic gratitude, "as vast as the sea". Lovely in every way and a wonderful joy with this style of poetry, done so very well. Love, Marcy |
