Shoe on Other Foot? ‘Gators lurking on the shore chomp...a child has died. Take the body back to den make things from the hide. Lil’ children lampshades human leather suitcases. Masked traveling alligators wearing children skin faces. Big teeth marks; chomp, chomp never need no leather punch. “Save the skin, now dearies we’ll have the rest for lunch”. Disgusting thoughts, indeed slaps one right in the face. Friend, better think about it when next about the marketplace. bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |

from the way back machine... written around 1988 or early 1989. Part of my first manuscript: "There's a Poet in my Soup" perhaps indicative of why the manuscript didn't do well, eh? Slightly re-written and presented for historical value... in the near future I shall be posting a few from the back manuscripts to garner comments and critiques...ok?< !signature--> bleeding... Daniel~ Whew ! Stark realism ... I do recall the era of the craze of alligator purses, shoes and everything else they could garner for profit from the slaughter of these creatures of the swamps. I could never believe that people would buy those things ... much less show them off as they did ! Your render slaps the reader right on the environmental two-faced hypocrisy that prevails. Good show ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

thanks Marge lol although I feel compelled from time to time to express righteous outrage at the duplicity of our society...seems the pieces are never very popular....go figger. I guess folks want to be entertained, not brought to task, and reminded how we have an opportunity to do better. bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |
