A dark and dreary stormy day Left tattered hopes behind its way, And little tiny shards of pain Coming with the wintery rain. In this gloomy setting be A child in dire dependancy, In need of someone that would care To love, befriend, or just be there. Down a rain-soaked, evening street A pair of wet and freezing feet Make their way to a house that's dim, Wish there was someone waiting for him. __________ He was an artist, with incredible skill A monument to his strength and his will; A painting of a dragon alone, Under a light that barely shone. And as the boy got ready to sleep, He had a ritual to keep; Pressed his hands so tight to pray That someone would love him someday. Though it was deep into the night, A steady glowing golden light Glinted off the child's smooth face; A sign of Someone's holy grace. __________ Soon, someone became aware Of a needy person there. Woke up and started to proceed To find out who was in need. Sensing deep-down heart's despair, He couldn't help but wonder where This poor soul had just been cast Or how much time for them had passed. Then he found the sleeping child, And as he came nearer, broadly smiled; For he had found the friend he sought, And thanks to God, that's what he got. __________ The dragon that was of paint and lead Spread gently a wing out over the bed, Bringing the end to the boy's painful strife, As both were about to begin a new life. The boy woke up the next day to find Peace in his heart, and calm in his mind. He looked for the reason that seemed to hide-- Until he saw who was now at his side. __________ A dark and dreary stormy day Left tattered hopes behind its way. But with the passing clouds, a sight: Blue skies and sun that's shining bright. Little Spyro T. Dragon [This message has been edited by Little_Spyro (edited 08-27-2000).] |

Hey everyone! This was not written because of a problem that I have--I couldn't be happier (if it weren't for school). But if there is anyone out there who needs love, don't worry. It'll come in one form or another. Little Spyro T. Dragon |

You have a compassionate and caring heart and it shows here in your wonderful poetry. Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Thanks guys! Hey, you know, you all do your share of spreading that hope, love and kindness around...I think I'm just taking all of that you've given me (and that I've seen you guys give others) and putting it in a poem. Thanks for doing that. Little Spyro T. Dragon Watching the poets Passions' guardian dragon Moves with the rhymes' flow. Though my body be Human, my heart and soul be That of a dragon. |

Wow Sam, I haven't seen something of this caliber for a while. Your poem really stirs up hope, doesn't it? Of course, that's what little dragons are supposed to do when we fall on hard times. When the going gets tough, the tough get their little dragon friends going! Another great poem from my best friend. Your friend Led Goldman The Alchemist |

Wow...again and again I'm in awe of some of the things you write.. This is beautiful, and thankyou for the message in it.. With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry. |
