(1) Beach Scene Billowy snowy foam Rushing in to entrance Our feet We dancing wind blowing Tangling our hair Laughing and singing To the tides happy tune (2) In A Wood Sitting on fallen log Covered in hungry moss And a few huge fungi Dappled sunlight playing Across your hair Slightly beckoning glint In your eye What was to follow? (3) Proud Moment Our first set of wheels Red with bright chrome Frogeye headlights Stripe of hope down each side Me smiling behind wheel Hoping It doesn’t break down Again (4) Home Small but brightly painted And well built Yellow windows offer some jollity Red door Glares at passers by You standing on the step Waving vibrant happy Hair caressed by wind Covering your eyes (5) Christmas Everyone’s here Brother’s sisters mum dad Tree bright with lights And tinsel Almost falling over With the joyous weight Most are bloated with the Fabulous lunch Some are now gone (6) Visiting It’s a lovely home Hugging treasured children Large garden where Dog’s can play Lawn like a football turf You and me enjoying A glass of red wine Sitting arm in arm By the barbecue Smiling widely Happy The photo album is only half full Plenty more pages for tomorrow's memories You sleeping softly I hold your hand Put out the light And drift off Dreaming Jon Mewett [This message has been edited by Jon Mewett (edited 08-22-2000).] |

Jon; This is so cleverly done! I feel like I just sat and looked at your family album. you made each photo so clear and alive. ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Really wonderful work Jon, truly. Each section saying a such a lot. Round about Christmas I had to stop for a moment or two as the tears welled up... I could relate to ALL of these though, the sensitivity and power of the descriptions using simple words... and i'm a bit stuck for words to say just how much i liked this... fantastic work! |
