To put you in the proper time frame, picture a crusader returning from the wars..
             -----------------------

I am a man home from the hill
I have wandered far and long my love
I have seen many wonderous and terrible things
Many adventures have I had to share
with others like myself

Hold out thine hands to grasp mine, my own
Let us walk to thy marriage bed in tandom
For I have missed thee mightly
This long time past
Many tales have I to tell thee of great length

But later, my love
For now is the time to unite
In joyous union will we renew our troth
Many dreams have thy entered in the long nights
Lie with me in the closeness of this place

Thy kiss is honey to my parched lips
Thy touch feeds my hunger for thee
Thy softness is a window to great bliss
Thine alabaster breasts tributes to thy purity
Thine eyes liquid, like finest spirits

Might I lose myself in thee this magic night
To ease the painful journey of my return
My head to lay upon thy breast to sleep
My head to lay upon thy breast to sleep
To remain here with thee forevermore

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Wow! This poem is written so magnificently!
I love the language and the feel of those times. The romantic lovers is so beautiful. Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
